Hi,

Does anyone know where (if possible) I can get a cable to connect my e800 to my road angel.

Thanks

That is for a Haicom and it will not work with Road Angel.
There are 2 possibilities for e800.

1. Get the Toshiba serial cable and add a null modem adapter.

2. Use the Toshiba Host cable plus a USB>serial converter.

So the first option is simpler/cheaper.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I have managed to find a cable with the Toshiba plug on one end and a ps2 plug on the other.

Now. The problem I have is that I am not sure what to set tom tom up as in the gps settings. What com port should I be using. I have the following options.)

Com1
Com3
Com4
USB Cable
Native IR
Bluetooth GPS (even tho I have the Wi-Fi version)

I have activated the output from my angel (I think) and have a hyper terminal tool on my pda that scans com1 but I see no data.

Any help?

Thanks
Paul

update.

I know that the gps data is coming out of the road angel. I have a ps2 - serial cable and I used that with hyper terminal on a laptop.

So - I just need either a different cable, or the correct setting on my PDA.

Thanks
Paul

I repeat:

>There are 2 possibilities for e800.

>1. Get the Toshiba serial cable and add a null modem adapter.

>2. Use the Toshiba Host cable plus a USB>serial converter.

Did you not take this advice?
