They have learnt a lesson. I doubt they will put this out to a public vote.

They are already screwing up the city centre, the Council state traffic should use the ring road and travel to the city centre by public transport Rolling Eyes

I only travel into the centre once every 2 weeks and use the Metrolink only because it's free for me (I've a wrinkly pass).

If the 20 mph limit comes in I'll just stay out of Manchester and take my trade elsewhere (probably Trafford or Stockport).

I don't have that option I live across the city from where I work its only 6 miles but in the car it can take 45 mins. Most days I take the bike
15 mins 20 at worst.

They would be better spending the money on the roads and save a lot of metal and money being wasted on yet more street signage.
