I've finally got my TT3 kit and its working great, but I'd like to hard wire the bluetooth gps unit under the rear parcel shelf (no loss of reception from my tests). The problem is I can't find a way to switch the gps unit on and off with the ignition feed. Does anyone have any ideas? I seem to have to switch it on manually which is a pain when its in the boot.

The second question I had for you expects, if I switch the iPAQ off (or it goes off when not powered) and I switch it on again, it doesn't always automatically reconnect to the bluetooth receiver. Is there a way to force a reconnect other than restarting TomTom?

Thanks!

The TT BT GPS used to come with a car cradle, this could be hard wired to an ignition controlled 12v supply. Then the GPS would come on and off with the ignition.

Sadly TomTom dropped this accessory because of alledged problems, as it stands you cannot now do this Sad Your only option here is to get analternative BT GPS that has a hardware ON/OFF switch so it can be ignition controlled.

If you leave TTN running and power off your PPC then this will ocurr, it's a bug in Bluetooth, restarting TT is the only solution. The best advice is to always exit TT before switching off.
