TomTom Warning Sounds

I am fairly new to TomTom. Is there anyway one can replace or remove the built in sounds such as bells etc. many thanks for your comments in advance.

The standard sounds are built into the software. Other sounds/warnings can be added to the units, except for the latest models, which have been strangled by the software they use.

If you tell us the model you have, a fuller answer can be provided.

Just to say.... Since earlier this year, user's own sounds can also be added to the new units now.
