92 Premium Live is now available (and in stock) from Amazon in the UK. Personally I am waiting until the importing of custom POIs feature is implemented, it has been promised by Navigon as a future software upgrade.
Just got me a 92 Premium Live today £319 from Amazon..They have 5 left so hurry :-) .. boy it's fast, Flow software is very easy to use and the Live service is much quicker at getting a connection. interestingly there is an option called Navigon Live modem check and the provider is ( T-Mobile ) check out the screenshots
I have a 70Plus which I have found to be a really decent machine. I encountered problems and Navigon eventually agreed to send me a replacement 92Premium hot off the press a few months ago (long story). Anyway, the 70Plus was surprisingly 'fixed' with a full software re-installation and recently I ran them both together for a side-by-side comparison. TBH, apart from the Flow software which appears ok, the 70Plus wins hands down; it has a much nicer screen (colours, contrast and brightness) even though it is resistive. The 92 has a capacitive screen.
Secondly, the way in which the maps are shown on the screen is different; the 70 seems to render side streets better and is much clearer. The 92 often looks like the 'route' has been coloured in orange by a young child whom cannot keep within the lines. Also, the two have different standard views with the 70 appearing to be slightly 'zoomed out' giving a much nicer view of the road ahead. The 92 seems to have 30% of its screen filled with sky which may be to accommodate the 3D City centre facility? The icons for battery, time, compass etc. are now in white; what was wrong with the previous black/grey which were much easier to see?
Lastly, the volume is not as loud as the 70 and Navigon have moved the mini-usb to the other side meaning, that for me at least, the cable has to trail much further!!
Would really appreciate other people's opinions as for me, it does not seem like move forward and I'm glad not to have paid for the upgrade. The FLOW software is OK, but I also like the previous software and don't find this particularly easier to use in practice.

The blurred navigation colours must come from their buyout by Garmin - who have been doing this for years!
I agree, have several older Navigon units 40 Premium, etc. and earlier which are fine, but have Flow on my Samsung Galaxy Note and I just think it takes longer than pressing static buttons
A little like when Navman-Mio introduced Sprit Slide a few years back - innovative at the time, but didn't function greatly and since have gone back to fixed buttons and in my opinion the best interface in the businesses - even if some features are limited and the hardware a little more basic _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

xtraseller, thanks for your opinion. I'm glad it is not just me who has some doubts. I find I am using my 70 Plus in preference to the 92 Premium which on paper is mad However, it is not just a case of familiarity, I really do find the older model a nicer experience. I even question using capacitive screens with PND's as I find the resistive screen of the 72 more user-friendly. Even though you have to 'press' with a resistive, I find that there are less failures to respond compared with the capacitive light touch/scroll method.

I have just received my new Navigon 92 Live (from Amazon and it my 4th one). Registered fine, updated software fine, but I cannot purchase anything on Fresh. I can select the product, apply the voucher code (which comes in the box), select payment method, but after that the system hangs. Anyone have any ideas? Posted question on Facebook but no answer as yet.

Hi michaelj2 - I had a similar problem with not getting Fresh working properly. In my case it was not being able to access maps and apps I had already purchased, after doing a software upgrade.
I phoned up and they sorted my account out while on the phone to resume access. This was pre-Garmin takeover, but hopefully you should still get it sorted quickly this way (one of the few things I DID like about Garmin when I was with them was their support desk).
Of course, priorities within Navigon have shifted somewhat, with a lot of their staff getting used to working on Garmin projects, but hopefully some Navigon-focussed support people are still around! _________________ David

Treated myself to a Navigon 92 Premium Live just recently too, but feel while it excels in parts, fails miserably in others - particularly for a premium product
The live services, whilst traffic isn't anywhere near TT HD Traffic, for Roadworks it's actually better (locally, anyway)
The interface is fast - but seems less flexible than the older Navigon interface, with less options - it looks like it was a work in progress, and put out because of time restraints, but still over half a year later, no progress
The screen itself whilst reactive, is very much washed out - even compared to lower end Navigon units, and whilst the Navigon software tries to render a good map quality picture, the resolution and quality of the screen really let it down badly - it's the worst screen of my current crop of units
On the positives, the mount remains solid in place, and nicely brings the unit a little closer to the driver
The lane navigation is excellent, and my main reason for buying the unit - however, on junctions with 3d Junction View, the replace (not compliment) the lane guidance feature. What a let down - I do not want or like 3D junction view, but unlike virtually every other sat nav, when you switch this off, lane guidance remains - but on the Navigon, you are left with nothing
City navigation however, is the stand-out feature and excellent - the best of any sat nav available. The 3D buildings are nice, but not required - the roads and "curbs" make city navigation easy
Overall, disappointed with the unit, because of simple things like the screen quality and poor throught-through of the lane-guidance availability - which otherwise would have made a stand-out navigator
As for Navigon Fresh, no problems at all, downloaded new maps, city-views and speed cameras, etc. (free, included, bonus and purchased content) and all worked fine over the past week (using Chrome browser)
Now to continue my search for my perfect sat nav...!

Thank you for all your comments and advice. I will try it out later this week in France and see if it is as good as the 70 Live.
I called Navigon on the UK number and had an immediate answer and resolution of my problem which was an issue with Navigon Fresh on a Macbook. They are aware of a payment problem and advised me to use Fresh on Windows which I have on my Macbook with VMWare. I did this and it worked fine.
so good service - lets see how the device performs.

I am sure you will find it great for the trip to France - particularly if passing through larger built-up cities, and it's city view is pretty much the easiest way to get around town, and of course it's active lane guidance can be a god-send
