Hi Guys can you help please.
I thought I understood Icons but the software seems to have changed and/or I am confused.
My A10 was recently reset and so I wanted to set up my icons again as I have a couple of icons that I have created myself. I also wanted to use just Icons from my SD card and so wanted to ensure that there were no icons in the internal memory. After the trouble I not longer worry about that I just want a limited set of icons containing my own.
The way I thought it worked previously was that in order to clear the Internal icons out I needed to upload a My POI Icons.zip to the internal memory but that its content needed to be any small file that was not an icon image. Then I could insert my own icons into the real My POI Icons.zip folders (suitably numbered to fit in with the series) onto the SD card.
Well that did not work this time. It appears that the odd non Icon-image file has created a blank icon. All the internal icons are there still and the personal ones I loaded into the zip file do not show. However if they are put in the root directory of the SD card as .png files then they show up but in the middle of everything else.
So I have now removed the My POI Icons folder from the SD card and left the .png files in the root directory. My icons now appear at the end of the rest but I still have a blank icon which I wish to remove and I would also love to be able to remove some of the other garbage.
I think I must have missed something but cannot find where.
All advice welcome. _________________ LostMike

Try deleting the .png files from your SD card.
Download the My POI Icon.zip file from the satmap website.
Unzip it.
Delete all the POI icons that you don't want from the folders.
You must keep the My POI icons folder and you must have at least one subfolder in which your POI icons are saved.
You must not have subfolders in your subfolder.
Your icon files must start with a double underscore "__"
Re zip the folder and import it to satmap.
Make the right settings in the OOI general import tab.
I think that this should overwrite the satmap icons and only leave yours. _________________ Satmap A10. Platform 09.02.21, Software version 1.50 Satsync 1.50

I've just tried it myself and I can't get it to work either. I can get one of my icons to show up if I put the __ (double underscore) and click on the option to install my own icon. I'm going to get in touch with Satmap, as clearly not working. I will let you know what they say. _________________ Satmap A10. Platform 09.02.21, Software version 1.50 Satsync 1.50
