940 Live doesnt stopped reading out text

Hi all hope someone can help
i have a 940 live and when i brought it used to read out my text as they got sent to me, it has now stopped doing it, i have done a reset by holding down on/off button but i still cannot get my text read out aloud again.
any help appreciated

A couple of possible things to try...

1. You must be using a "computer" voice (not a "real" one) for navigation

2. Do you have the option ticked in Change preferences/Voices/Voice preferences for "Read aloud incoming messages"?

3. Did it stop working after you had updated the TT software or changed mobile phone?

4. Have you tried resetting the TomTom by holding down the power switch for 20 seconds until you hear the drum-roll sound?

After trying all Andy's points the next step is to delete the TomTom bluetooth pairing from the phone and from the TomTom then re-pair them and try it again - Mike
