From what I've been told, this is a back-end and infrastructure upgrade, not a Navore update.

Subscribers will get it automatically, by virtue of having a subscription to the data.

I see the corporate announcement says that drivers with a Live subscription will get the update automatically. I guess that means a new version of Navcore unless there is something else. Clearly not just a back end upgrade....

I doubt it.....

My thinking is that it is entirely back-end work and nothing needs to be changed on the device itself.

TT are well known for wording things very imprecisely in their press releases, so a comment like "drivers with a Live subscription will get the update automatically." may well mean that the Traffic downloads carry on just as before (but the incoming data is better).

And "It provides a greater range of rerouting alternatives..." could just mean that now minor rods and slip roads off motorways are included, then the re-routing can be more "intelligent".

Ok thanks for clearing that up.

Interesting to note that the screenshot looks absolutely nothing like my traffic display, but I presume anyone can knock something up like that.

I am more than happy not to have a Navcore update, mine isn't broke, so doesn't need fixing Very Happy

I wonder if we will actually notice any difference, as I use my TT every day, to and from work, and regular get traffic updates.

First post, page 1 Laughing More likely to be a marketing image than a screenshot I guess. No doubt provided by TT for advertising, looks interesting though. The traffic bar, and info was the bit I was looking at, and not the actual traffic on the road

But I would be surprised if the traffic shown would only caused a 3 min hold up Shocked

If the new service has started, it certainly did not pick up the closure of the A724 on Wednesday between Blantyre and Drumsagard Twisted Evil
The road was closed for about 4 - 5 hours and showed OK on the BBC travel reports.

Could be right there M8TJT, especially when it says 3 mins at the top, and 20 mins at the bottom, doh!
