How store trip information after turning the device off&

Hello.

I use Igo 8.3 for 2 years, very happy.

Everything in this application is OK for me, except of one problem that I could not solve yet. Namely - as soon as the device is turned off, all the statistics of on-board computer are lost. This happens quite frequently and involuntarily - for example, I stop to refuel, turn off the ignition - supply of energy on the lighter is stopped and the unit switches off. And I need that information about the moving time, distance, average speed remains even after turning the device on and off.

How can I do it?

I know that the onboard computer has several slots to save the trips (Trip 1, Trip 2 ...), but I do not how to use this feature. On my device Tab “Travel 1” is always used, but when you turn off the device data from there are reset too..

I would be grateful for the help.

I have iGO8 and the trip does not do this for me. I believe there is a setting, perhaps only in a third party skin, that will reset the trip when you start a route. I have got it set on mine, and it does not reset any of the three trips on a standard powerdown. On mine, using GJ skin, it's in Settings~Map Screen~TC Settings~Auto reset TP.

You can stop the unit auto switching off by editing the Sys.txt file in the interface section include the line shutdown_time=0 as below.

or change the number to however many seconds you want the delay.

I seem to have the problem that if I let it auto shutdown, the recovery mostly does not work correctly, so I have to shutdown again manually and restart. Because of this I have disabled the auto shutdown.
