Whats right?

My old street pilot records a speed of 66mph while the speedo in my vehicle is showing 70mph.Is this correct?
I have been of the understanding that the speedometers in vehicles are out by a few mph.

Try a search for 'speedo accuracy' with 'Search for all terms' checked There's loads of stuff on this.
Yes car speedos are callibrates so they can never under read and this over read by typically 5% or so. GPS speed is very accurate. Typically Velocity: 0.1 m/s for the Chipset which is about 0.2MPH, but external influences may degrade this.
