I launched Telmap 5 today and received this message:
Contract has expired. Please contact customer support.

Then after I press OK, it takes me to the activation screen asking for an activation code, I put in my activation code, hit OK and after a few seconds of trying to connect, I get this message:
Unable to complete login request. Please try again or contact customer support.

How can this be resolved?

I used Telmap about 1 1/2 weeks ago and it was working fine.

Thanks

I am also experiencing the same issue since last week. I contacted tugadmin, but haven't heard anything back yet.

I have also had this problem from switch on on 1st May. I have tried a re-install and emailed support but have not heard anythign yet. It is quite fustrating when you are about to drive somehwere new and you need to revert to maps, the whole reason for using SatNav. It causes loss of confidence. Previously there was an error with the server which refused to allow sync, I was told to re-install several times before it transpired that it was a server error and the fault went away " all by itself", looking forward to a speedy fix.

I've had this problem since I upgraded my 9700 to OS 6. Reinstalling the app didn't help. I'll watch this thread (and the one I began about this issue.) I love this app and hope that someone will resolve this.

I upgraded my 9700 to OS 6 about a month ago, and Telmap worked fine until last week, so (at least in my case ) I believe it is a timing issue as opposed to an OS 5 vs OS 6 issue.

Edit: Looking at the date of the other thread you started, I suspect it is only coincidental that you upgraded to OS6, as mine also stopped working around the same date that you posted your other thread.

@Icarus3000: Yes, I think you're right that it's a timing issue and not related to my OS 6 upgrade. I realized this when I read through this thread. I feel better that I'm not the only one with this issue, although now I just feel bad for all of you, too! Let's hope it gets fixed.

HI all,
On April 27, 2010 we upgraded our server environment which required all users to re-register with a new activation code.
So now, exactly 1 year later, many of you are experiencing the lapse of your one-year license.

We are working on managing this in the background.
In the mean time you can just register with us again to get a new AC.
Tks
Rami

That would be great except that you are not accepting registration for the USA

Re-registering doesn't work, my new code fails with the same error. I emailed you more than 5 days ago to ask for help with this, didn't hear a thing back from you. I tried to email you again today, got a bounce back message

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

tugadmin@telmap.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host mx10.barak.net.il [194.90.1.175]: 554 5.7.1 Delivery not authorized, message refused -- . (reason:
BombData: 'Thank you for joining ')

What's going on, codes don't work, email servers don't work????

A reinstall of the telmap app did the trick for me.

I first tried to activate telmap5 by registering again, but the new activation code did not get accepted.

After a new download and reinstall (same version), it accepted the new activation code just fine.

device is 9800 torch

Yes. exactly the same problem as the OP too..

I have reinstalled.. and tried to re-enter both my old, and a newly re-registered code. all say problem logging in. if I enter a false code, it says invalid code. so there is a connection to the server Smile

Thanks aequous_humor and stupink, the reinstall worked, nice if telmap could make this fix known/reply to emails. Oh well, we're on the road again, cheers.

Same issue here, you are not accepting registration for Canada anymore.
