Just bought it and needed 2 of the Europe Map Zones for when I travel purchased 2 2mb micro sd cards. Downloaded one zone onto the first card and then thought when i come to visit the second Zone all as I need to do is having downloaded that zone change the SD card. When I do it just shows the original Zone I downloaded and can only change it by going through Home.Am I doing something wrong, I thought I could download all the zones onto different cards. Crying or Very sad

You would be better off with a 4GB card and install the single map download rather than pratting about with the rather stupid Zones that TomTom are providing, given a large enough card and 4GB is enough you can still keep the full single Western_European map on the card without needing to switch anything - Mike

Ignore the TT website.
You can use SDHC cards upto 32GB.

I have 8GB cards in a Go720, a Go 940 and a Go950

A big thanks but what is a SDHC card will it simply fit into the slot or do I have to do anything else and which would you suggest purchasing as it looks like I have already wasted my money on 3 SD cards. Laughing

SDHC cards look just like SD cards, they're just the next move in technology and have been around for some time. SD cards can't be greater than 4GB.

Google for SDHC Class 6 - 6 is the speed, that speed or better (higher number, faster speed, 6 is I think currently latest officially recognised fastest). As Mike says, 4GB is adequate for mapping. 8GB would allow more storage, but you can get Europe full map on 4.

Edit - note, you need micro SDHC card

Interestingly I contacted Tomtom Support who started taking me through the long drawn out procedure of getting the Map Zones onto the two 2GB cards. When I asked would it not be simpler to purchase a 4GB the reply was, Never thought about that but you cannot use a card larger than 4GB. Rolling Eyes I have now sent off for the card thanks.
