It isn't possible to capture images of the screen on a public release device, strange really as people posting screen shots are providing a free advertisement for the device when they appear on forums such as this, but I guess TomTom know best so its another "missing feature" from the navcore 10 devices - Mike

Does anyone know if you can get screen dumps on the Live 1005 like you can on the older TT units. Guess this won't be possible yet Rolling Eyes

I know it is possible, but there's nothing that end-users can do to make it happen. It would have to be "enabled" by TomTom as an update and sent to everyone's devices via MyTomTom, and despite requests they haven't done it so far.

Maybe fire off a request to them or post it on their "discussions" on their website? If enough people ask, it might happen.

Good plan, I think I'll let them know how useful it was.
I was using it to produce manuals to help our guys use the POI selections for destinations. Now I'll have to use a camera to do the screenshot.
Also was good for capturing precise location for new cameras etc.
