Send a mail with your forum user ID and the device id (from the CamerAlert About screen) to our support email address.

If it is the same device then you should not need to use the 'link pgpsw account' button, it should already pick it up?!

Hi, I have the same problem, Just got new phone, messed up couple times and had to reload CA, now says "too many devices connected", but there are only "links" to "subscribe" or "link to pocketGPSWorld account". Surely this should recognise my account without having the "links".
Any news on a solution?

Re-loading CA would not cause an issue, we log a unique ID for the phone. The only issue would occur if you install new ROMs. Some handsets cause the unique ID to change when a new ROM is installed.

Either way, to resolve the issue you will need to log a support ticket. We will need the user-name of your subscription linked account:

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/support.php

Your account currently shows as active, one iPhone install and two Android Installs.

Hi, The "two Android Installs" are the same phone (as mentioned I messed up playing with the thing and ended up installing CA twice), however, should the phone not be "recognised" as "installed" and let me update camera data?
Will log a support ticket with relevant info.

As I said, if all you did was install CamerAlert and then re-install it on the same device then there would be no issue. Our server would recognise the phone.

For it to have generated a new unique ID you would normally have had to do something else such as install a new custom ROM.

Thanks, we can resolve quickly once we have the ticket. Please be sure to include the ID of your current install as advised in the manual (FAQs at end):

Hi Darren

Status: Too many devices linked
I only have two devices, a Garmin 1490T and a HTC Desire HD.

The problem might be because of the CyanogenMod Nightly Builds I am using on the HTC.

I have been to this link:- http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/support.php but I can not understand how to fill it in. Confused Embarassed

Please can you advise.

With Regards
Take Care

Fill in your name, email address and then details of your issue, i.e. Too many devices linked.

If you want older devices removing then we will need the ID of your current device as per the CamerAlert Manual:

Your user-name/nick-name

And if you insist on installing a new ROM every day then every second day you're going to have to repeat this process until we can resolve the issue where some phones change ID after a ROM update.

Can't for the life of we see why you'd need to update your ROM every day though Confused
