No thank you! My wife already complains about the amount of time I spend on here and the kids usually leave the volume somewhere near full. I really don't need to wake up the wife with loud wooshing noises in the morning! _________________ Paul |

NO! | Well, how about a full Westminster chime then
On second thoughts, it's pretty much OK the way it is |

The '1996' reference was a humourous reference to the tendency to add sounds, animations, and any other effect known back in the early days of web-design.
It's rather more mature now - less is more. But enough of the quips now. _________________ Darren Griffin |

There also stuck in the first 2/3 of the page. Looks a bit ugly. Could have been spread out evenly across the page.
The order is a bit odd as well. Log In/Out is usually on the right side. |

You mean left aligned? They're tabs, we chose to align them that way and I like them like that. we could centre them but making them large enough to fill the page would look very odd and as it is, we have room to add more tabs where needed.

I put the Log-In/Out tab there so it was next to the Forums Link. However, I take your point and have now moved it to the far right. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just started at 9:27 am Eastern USA time:
When I click the refresh icom in IE8 or move to a different forum, a little pop up box appeares saying 'logged in'.
Honestly, it's annoying....... _________________ David |

We were looking at integrating some dynamic behaviour into the LogIn button but it didn't work and we reverted to the original code shortly after.
If it was that, it shouldn't be doing it now? _________________ Darren Griffin |

How about a tab for 'Subscriber Member Area'? It would serve two purposes: make navigation quicker and emphasise that members get something extra. |
