Hello all

please answer my topic
i have a BB 9700 with OS 6.0.0.380 (official)
before i was on OS v5 and telmap was working very well
but since telmap upgraded on V5, i have an error
cannot use it anymore

What happens is that when i launch telmap i have a first error message that says :
"telmap could not find access point to network please check your network settings"
then i choose " retry"
and i have another message that says :
"select your preffered access point"
but the list of access points is empty
so what should i do ?

please help, thanks

PS : it was working very well on V4 of telmap
i don't change anything before upgrade on telmap 5 but now i have this ***** error

Have you checked that your permissions are set to "allow"?
Do you also checked that your acces point in Telmap5 is correct? For example "BIS" is the correct setting for me.

Edit...
Do you installed the version for BIS or BES? Maybe this could be the issue if you installed the wrong version - but with this I only guess.

Open Telmap and then go to "Settings" (I guess in english the option is named "settings" because I use the german version). Then scroll down to the last point. Here you can choose the access point which Telmap uses.
Default should be "BIS". If you entered an access point in your 9800 (look at the menu "TCP/IP") you should be also able to force Telmap to use your entered acces point. If you haven't entered an acces point in your 9800 but in Telmap settings you choosed not "BIS" then Telmap can't access the network.

Sorry for my not perfect english! Embarassed

Hello fpeedy

thanks for your help
finally, i tried to erase all informations on my bb
doing a hard wipe with bbsak
reinstalling first OS version 5.0.400
and over this V5 i installed telmap
i tried it and it runs well
so over this, i tried installing BB OS v6
and telmap still working
so when i restore my personnal data, i choosed only necessary data, without options, settings.... in order to not modify settings that works with telmap
and now am using it without any problem

now i hav another one, its language on telmap
even if i changed language to french, i still hav telmap in english

am going to send a form to telmap about this issue

thanks a lot guy and have a nice day

Mohamed.

When the solution for you was to restore only necessarily data from your backup file then it was the same solution like here.

When I was changing the language to german I needed 2 tries because after the first try Telmap was still in english.
Have you tried to change the language a second time?

Hi alg,
French is fully supported on BB 9700.
It's possible that your installation became corrupted so you can't change the language.

I can only suggest that you completely remove your current installation and then download again from tmug.

I certainly hope that works for you since in French you will get access to loads of great content such as Velib bicycle locations, 118 lookup and more

tks
