I have just downloaded the updated MioMore Desktop 7.30 and see that now custom POIs can be downloaded to the Navman Spirit 575. (Yesss)
Can anyone advise please on which PGSW camera database to use (MioMaps or Navman), and full instructions on how to download the current database to PC and onto the satnav would be really useful.
Many thanks in advance.
Steve

The 575 is nominally an S-Series product but we have as yet not confirmed it supports our database. I'm a Mac user so couldn't test this aspect when I reviewed the 575 recently.

So follow the guide for the S-Series and let us know if it works. If so I'll add the 575 to out supported list.

The new Mio Navman Range - 470, 475, 575, 579 does not have the ability to load on Custom points of interest.
This is one of the items removed.
The only way to update the Safety cameras is to use a Mio/Navman subscription which is supported by the desktop.

No POI support at all? I never cease to be amazed at the foolishness of the manufacturers! Is it any wonder why they are rapidly losing a foothold in the navigation market?

I have just recheckedand the new service pack to V7.30 adds this feature back. It can be downloaded from http://download.mio.com/ServicePack/MioMore_Desktop_700_sp_20101101.html
This is on the Mio Website FAQ 692 for further reading.
This then seems to male the MioMore Desktop look like the same as the Mio Moov Spirit desktop.
The guide on the website on how to add the cameras is incorrect for this software.

I have downloaded the PGSW cameras to my Mio 575, but not tested them on the road yet.
I would have been unable to download without the instructions from PaulRS - so many thanks to Paul.
The Navman 575 seemed to take the entire database with no warnings - so perhaps the 12,000 limit has been changed.
I will report back at the end of the week on success or not!!

I have now road tested the 575 with PGSW cameras.
With cameras by type the navigation voice instructions disappeared.
With speed zoned complete the screen froze.
Back to the drawing board.
