Haiacom 405 III BT always blinking

I have had the Haicom 405 IIIBt for over a year and it has been working fine. This week I turned it on and the red gps light started blinking immediately. I am able to connect to it via BT, but the unit doesn't acquire any gps sattelites. I tried removing the battery but no change. I let the battery completely discharge then recharged it, but the red light still immediately blinks and doesn't acquire any satellites. has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to reset the unit? the Haicom site doesn't seem to have any troubleshooting info.

You can try to do a factory reset - tools like Winfast Navigator can do that, or maybe Haicom have added a diagnostics program when you bought the receiver?
