Hi Everyone.
I would appreciate your advise.Since I updated my TomTom to version 9.150.554646.2 there has been a problem with the voice instruction when exiting the motorway.
The display shows the lane guidance but does not give me the voice instruction to exit.Normal road use is fine.
I am running Map Europe_West V 850.2781.
Thank you for your help.
Bob.

I've not heard of that problem before and can't think of any reason for it so far.

So the voice ONLY disappears when the "Reality View" full-screen lane pictures are on screen?
(in TomTom's terminology the "Advance Lane Guidance" is where you just have lane arrows in the status bar)

Have you already trie all the normal "fixes" such as a reset (20 second press on the power switch) and a return to factory settings (from the settings menu - but you will lose your personal ettings with that one).

Also do you have a backup of the machine before you did the software update? If you do, (and you really should have!) does it all come good if you return the XL to previous software by restoring the backup?

Hi Andy.
Thank you for your quick response.
TomTom have advised me to remove and then re-install the recent application update and this should fix the problem.
This I have done today and will try the satnav tomorrow.
Yes I have made a back up and if all fails I will revert back and see what happens.
Thank you once again.
Bob

Hi All.
I have tried everything that TomTom have advised ref the voice instruction missing on the motorway exits since the last update.

I have now been advised to lower the volume to 80% or lower as they have a software issue since the last update.

I will try this and report back.

Cheers.
Bob.

Hi Everyone.

If you are interested it seems that if you lower the voice instruction volume to 80% or lower this corrects any missing voice instructions when on the motorway.
I have now tested this and my problem has been resolved.
TomTom have advised me that there is a software issue with the voice instuction and the volume since the last update and that they are aware and are working for a fix.
Regards.
Bob. Very Happy Question

It appears not.

They do... but there are some really ODD bugs that can crop up in the strangest of places.
If I were testing that setup, I'd never have spotted that one in normal use OR when checking out that all the menus worked properly back on the bench.
