Does anyone know how useful this mode is for eg., walking? What does the screen show - is it just "blue" or does it show the terrain in any way?

Is it useful with loaded KML routes (again, what does it show)?

Cheers.

It's a useful feature, it just gives you a line indicating what way to walk and shows the map as it normally would.
The major downside is I couldn't find enough pre done routes to load into it. I was hoping to be able to download walking routes for Derbyshire and such, but nothing seems to exsist out on the net. Sad

So useful feature but let down by lack of content Sad

Thanks for the useful info, jonandmarkuk. Might see about selling my Satmap then, as I actually use it so rarely that a very simple tracking capability is probably all I really need.

No doubt you've already tried these sites for your Derbyshire walks, but just in case:

and I think there's a fair bit of info in the Satmap forums.
