Thinking of replacing my existing Sat Nav.
Looking at the TomTom XL IQ series (UK or Europe mapping).
I notice that there is a new version 2 out (IQ2), but have not had much luck finding out information on the differences.
The only confirmed thing I have found is that the IQ2 has a simplified start menu. But with that I have seen some speculation that this means a lot of customisation features have gone.
Anyone seen the two in the flesh who can comment.
If so is it worth going for the IQ2 or should I get a plain IQ (perhaps saving a little money in the process).
Cheers,

The version 2 models com with 'EasyMenu' (some refer to it as 'dumbed down') with significantly fewer user options or features.
Most would advise staying away from any models with the small (version) 2 in the model name. _________________ David |

Do the IQ2's have TTS as standard, whereas the UK ONE/XL IQ models don't?
It all depends what you need really - if you ant to use custom POIs then go for the IQ would be my advice. |

Thanks for the advice.
I assume TTS is Text To Speech, in which case I'm not interested as I have always used my Sat Navs with the volume muted anyway.
Sounds like I should go for the original version - should save me a few quid and with the map guarantee there will be no difference in the map I end up with.
Cheers,
