pocketgpsworld.comWe take great pride in our website, the quality of the speedcam data and our Newsletter. But we won't rest on our laurels so we need to know what we can do to make it better?

There is no-one better placed to tell us what we could improve than you, our customers!

So get typing and let us know what we can do to make the PocketGPS experience better? There are some things that we're stuck with but where possible we like nothing more than correcting little 'features' that annoy or frustrate you and which we can resolve.

Although there are only four of us we take huge pride in the quality of our service, those of you who have contacted us with account or subscription issues will know that we react quickly and resolve most issues within a few minutes. There aren't many companies you can say the same thing of.

But if there are issues we cannot help if you don't tell us. So get typing and tell us what we can improve or even what we do well, we like a little prise now and again too!

Great website but some things are too hard to reach easily - how about a page with the most popular links (ie POIs, icons, etc)

Also on the RSS feed, how about a brief bit of test so that you don't always have to go in to find out what the artivcle is about?

I agree with steven. I use Apple Mail and have a number of RSS feeds and all of them have at least a paragraph on the news story PGW only has "Read More....." So at least a little bet of the story would be useful and wet the appetite to read more

Do you mean like the row of links below the main page PGPSW title? Confused

How about a write up on how to do an efficient 'Search', with a link to it on the Search page. When I do a search, I usually got zillions of hits Sad until I found the 'Search for all terms' checkbox Very Happy

The "Free POIs" download area is very slow and tempermental. If it could be made more reliable, it would be a lot better. You cannot beat the camera download site for usability though. Keep up the good work. Laughing

Lack of secure (SSL) login has always been a concern of mine.

Given we're not securing any personal details, financial information etc then SSL is rather overkill wouldn't you say?

I'm keener on security than most but I don't see that we need SSL here!

I can say I am more paranoid than most people. Wink

When I am on the road and need to update the camera DB I usually connect to my home machine via VPN over public unsecured WiFi then proxy login/download, rather than having login/download sent unencrypted over the air.

As we can be banned for DB piracy I see SSL login and DB download as necessary, but then maybe I'm too paranoid....

We've only ever had one case where the database was stolen via a login and that was in a flat share where the member left his PC on and logged in to our site so I think you are being a little paranoid!

There is nothing wrong with being secure but you can be a little too cautious!

we have NEVER seen an instance of piracy occurring from someone's login details being compromised. ever.

the only piracy issues have been from users personally sharing the database or giving it to friends/colleagues/family who have gone on to share it.

the only personal data that is loosely linked to pgpsw (and even then we see nothing of it) is payment details. BUT for payment details you are redirected to the paypal / nochex website who provide their own ssl security and has nothing to do with our servers / site and then AFTER payment has been made then you are sent back to pgpsw. we never see the data and put simply all we do is say to paypal "here's a userID number (linked to forum username) and a payment amount (£19.99 recurring) please can you get this blokes details and let us know when you've received payment so we can add their subscription". all card details etc are handled on paypal/nochex's servers.

while i am all for secure sites, i do think that ssl would be overkill and an unjust cost for pgpsw.

I agree about some people being paranoid about security - people will happily put their details and life story on sites like facebook and are not too careful with the other sites they visit and their passwords etc. and then pick on great sites like this one to criticise.

Your camera database is the best around, and certainly the best value.

I have recommended this site to loads of people, without ever worrying that they will be disappointed.
