One Third Edition Brodit Mount (on the cheap)

First off you will need a Pro-Clip to suit your vehicle, there are loads to choose from, and the Brodit TomTom Ball which, in this case was salvaged from an x40 Brodit Mount, but a Brodit/ TomTom style ball is now available under the part number of 533091 directly from Brodit/ ProClip, here the Brodit "Ball" is attached to the Pro-Clip sat next to the standard TomTom One Third Edition windscreen mount:



Turn your attention to the rear of the Windscreen sucker mount which will reveal two small Phillips head screws:



Remove the two screws and prise the rear ball retaining collar away from the ball, it shouldn't need much pressure to release:



Pull the PND shoe off the ball which lets you also release the rear ball retaining collar:



Fit the retaining collar to the Brodit ball on the ProClip and set aside the windscreen sucker as this picture shows all that you need to finish the conversion:



Fit the PND Shoe and secure the rear retaining collar using the two screws removed earlier, don't over tighten the screws as they only need to be secured to prevent the shoe from moving due to vibration in the vehicle:



The One Third Edition mount attached to the Brodit ProClip in my Ovlov, a solid mount with no vibration and it won't fall off:
