Mio P550 OS ROM Update to WM 6, WM6.1, or WM 6.5

Has anyone done it?

If so can you please advise proceedure, method and where to get the rom image and info?

I know this is old technology now, and apologies if I've posted in the wrong area, but I'm sure Mike will direct or admonish me as appropriate.

Trouble is, the more I see of the newer stuff, I can't help thinking there's a lot of good life left in these old Mio units.

I'm still running 3 Mio 168s and they appear just as fast as some of the newer gadgets on the market, less all the bells and whistles.

Horses for courses I suppose.

Unless MIO release an updated ROM for the P550 then AFAIK you are stuck with whatever version it is currently running, having looked at the MIO web site I can't see any new ROM downloads - Mike

Their is quite a few upgrades to at least 6.1 on the net just do a google search for "mio p550 rom upgrade " and you will find them.
