Netherlands, Spain & Italy now available from satmap

Fairly recent news, but in case you have not been to satmap.com lately; maps for the countries above are now available from satmap.com. Of particular interest to myself is the Netherlands (we go there annually and take our bikes) - £69.99 for a 1:50K card for the whole country with regional and 1:25K options available.

As I was lucky enough to win the My Satmap Story this month I ordered the Netherlands South map as part of my prize.

In case anyone else is thinking about getting a Dutch map, I report that the map is generally excellent and definitely worth buying if you are taking your bike to Holland. You will be able to explore without getting lost.

I just looked at an area that I know well and the main off-road areas were all detailed but I cannot comment on footpaths as I have never used them. There are no cycle lanes highlighted, but then in Holland there is a cycle lane on just about every road so that is no big deal. I also could not see any cycle routes (ie the Dutch equivalent of our National Routes which appear on OS maps), but do bear in mind I have only looked at a rural area that I know quite well.

Do be warned that the colour-coding is somewhat different to the OS maps.
