LMU & Live trial on Refurb Unit

Hi

I just got a refurb 540 from Argos and it all looks to be brand new, however I have noticed two messages on it saying live subscription about to expire and expired.

There is nothing in the box mentioning the trial and the only thing that mentions LMU is that it TomTom Home will check for this within 30 days of first use.

I want to put off updating till the latest maps are available which I understand is quite soon so I have not installed the application or connected the unit to my computer yet.

Does anyone know how I can check if it will get these updates and the live trial without actually doing to so or activating any count down? It is so I can contact Argos Clearance to get it sorted now rather than waiting too long.

If it's a refurb then a lot depends on who refurbished it. If it is an official TomTom refurb then they used to come with a voucher to redeem against a map update as the LMG will have expired.

If it is simply returned stock that Argos are recycling then you may not get the LMG but Argos as the retailer will be your best point of contact.

Just bear in mind that as a refurb it may not come with the LMG or voucher unless stated otherwise.
