I have a Power Pack, 300amps/12volts (I think), 3 pin plug which I use to run lights in the garage (no lectrics plumbed in), the odd warm air blower when cold.

I was wondering if I could use this to run one of those trickle charge things that 'top up' motorbike batteries. Basically can you charge a battery from a battery?
You can buy those booster packs to top up mobile phones/satnavs/PDAs and the like, so I reckon it would work. My mates say no.

Any ideas - advice.
I suppose an easy way to find out id to buy a charger - about £18 - and try it and see.
I was looking to leave it like for 2-3 weeks over Christmas.

Idealy for unattended use you need a Constant Potential Charger of the type used for Standby Generators but they dont come cheap.

Mmmmm, that doesn't sound promising then. The power Pack cost about £80 I think when I bought it, and it has been very useful I must admit. Gets regular use as well.
Don't want to go spending 'loads a money' again. May as well just take the battery out and charge it up in the kitchen - like the last 14 years Sad
