Does anyone know if the PGPSW camera database will work with the V735?

It doesn't seem to be listed. I've emailed admin (twice) but no reply.

Thanks for any info - I'd like to know before I shell out £20.

BTW, what happened to the 'one-off' camera subscription - where you could download a single update, as and when needed?

I replied to your support ticket. If you have not received it thn you need to check your Junk/Spam filters or folders/

I replied:

We removed the monthly subscription option over a year back and now only offer an annual subscription. The monthly option was abused by pirates so much that we were forced to withdraw it. We can trace abusers but the monthly option saw them risk only £2 if caught. Now that we only have annual subscriptions the risk of losing £19.99 has massively reduced the issues of piracy.

As for the v735, I cannot confirm support as we have not had a model to test nor other users. I can send you a limited test data set which you can install to confirm support if you wish?

Thanks for that - I only saw your reply after logging in, I didn't recieve any reply in my POP account.

I'd certainly like to try the test databse, and let you know the result - not quite sure how I'll get it, though, if mail to my POP box isn't getting through.

Thanks for your help

Phil

Do you have a spam filter on your mailbox? Either at your end or at the ISP? The mail has been sent so you need to check where it is being held?

Hi - I've checked my thunderbird folders, and logged into my ISP's webmail - but no reply emails.

I received the confirmation/validation email when I registered, plus a copy of my question that I asked to be sent - the email is correct and working with PGPSW

Where your replies have gone is anyone's guess.

Any other way that I can get the trial databse?

Thanks

I'll send you one, it's the support ticket replies that seem to be targetted by over zealous spam traps, our other emails are Ok.

I'll send you a redlight file in the Navman format which you can install as a test.

Thanks - I'll look out for it.

I have no spam filters in place at my end,
MyISP (an Enta reseller) l does have a spam folder on the webmail, but it was empty.

Whether Entanet are eliminating them in transit, I've no idea

I'll try the cameras (if I can get 'em ;), and let you know the result.

Hi again, Darren.

No go with .asc, I'm afraid - The Mio desktop software is looking for a .csv file to load.

Just rename it to .csv, they are the same format. Or as with the Navman software, change '*.csv' to '*.*' which should also work.

Cheers - the file and the icon loaded.

How do I obtain a sound file for the audio alert? - are they included with the full camera database?

Anyway, I'll try and find a suitable camera and let you kow what happens.

That is a function of the device on Navman's. It should have alerts built-in IIRC.

Hi - I've now downloaded and installed the ful database, which seems to be working fine.

I went for the .csv option, as it was quicker than renaming all the files.

The Navan audio alert seemed a bit hit & miss, so I also found some warning voices applicable to the four camera groups.

In fact, I decided to turn off the Mio cameras completely and rely completely on the PGPSW database.

This gives an on-screen alert 'Warning, Gatso ahead', etc, together with the appropriate verbal warning.. My next step is to procure some .wav files anouncing, 'Warning, tax collectors ahead' Wink

So, all done & dusted, you can safely include the V735 in your compatability list - with .csv, of course.

Thanks for your help.
