Setting Audible alerts for my speed camera locations

Hi

Last year the forum was kind enough to send me instructions for setting up Audible alerts for my speed camera locations. I have had to reset my tom tom 520 and I have lost these instructions.

Please can I have tham again .

Assuming you'd like to use the VOICE alerts, go to THIS PAGE to choose a voice, download it and then use the instructions for either "method one" or method two" at the bottom of the same page to install them and set them up.
(Either will do... I find method two more logical)

To help you choose suitable warning distances for each speed, there's a handy set of figures in the 7th post in THIS TOPIC (It also exists as a nice chart, but I lost the link to that! (Personally, I just use 100 yards for every 10MPH for fixed cameras and double that for mobile sites.

Thanks for replying

No I do not want the voice warnings, it is the noise warnings I require.

I have tried the verbal warnings and as I am a bit deaf I frind the quiet.

In that case, just go to "Change Preferences", then "Manage POIs" then "Warn when near POI".
Select each PGPSW camera file in turn and:
1. choose a distance for the warning to occur at (use the chart I linked to above if you use the individual speed categories
2. choose "sound effect"
3. choose a sound effect from the list on the next page
