Hi folks,

So far I'm more taken with the Navigon app than any of the others, having bought both Co-Pilot and TomTom (TomTom is particularly poor).

But there's always room for improvement right? What else would you like to see on Navigon?

PGP Speed Camera database - the ability to upload PoI files, namely the lovely speed camera database from this site

Increased Home Options - at the moment you can only define home by a street address. By GPS position, or clicking on a map, a la TomTom, would be useful.

Trip Computer - Often I find that I would like to know how long a journey took, rather than how long it was supposed to take. On a car with no trip computer i.e. mine, this would be really helpful. Garmin's standalone SatNav units have this.

Any more?[/b]

7 digit postcodes: Smile

better type of road labelling on the 3d map: i particularly like the style where you put the road label horizontially in a tag, then draw a line to where it is meant to be on the map. trying to place the labels on the 3d map in the direction the road is facing fails totally for me. i can't turn my head around all those angles while driving Smile

remove that disclaimer screen: Smile

allow off-line planning a route: being able to plan a route without having a valid gps fix.

getting the TTS lady voice to read a selected e-book to you: I just love the sound of her voice Smile

speed it up a bit! it can be painfully slow to get going at times, particularly if the ipod is already playing before the app starts up!

7-digit postcodes are a must but apparently are on their way.

as mentioned above, the ability to add 3rd party POIs - although i doubt this would happen as thier standalone PND's don;t offer this function as far as i am aware?

enlighten me. are you saying that your beef is with navigon not allowing 3rd party pois or your beef is with people like me who assume they don;t allow it but hey actually do?

The ability to choose where to centre the map on, on the view map screen.

Sometimes I'd like to just move around the 2d map of England before dropping a pin and navigating to it. Being able to centre the map on a location or a poi or... would be useful. Currently I get that functionality by planning a route to a place, then cancelling it. It seems to then leave the map centred on where I planned to go.

When picking a favourite, it would be more helpful if the "Start Navigation" button is swapped with the "More" button - so that it's larger, and easier to pick.
