I find that whenever I upload a new map the Tom Tom wipes off the customised warnings that I have put in for the PocketGPS POIs.

Does anyone know how I could save these warnings and replace them when I upload a new map?. I have a new map waiting and have delayed uploading to avoid having to retype them all again.

Try taking a copy (Windows Explorer) of the file Mapsettings.cfg from inside your current map folder, then after installing the new map, copy it back into the new map folder. But before you copy it back in, do a test (Demo route past cameras), because recently the install process has sometimes kept your old settings - it kept mine for my new map on one device, but not on another.

I forgot to make a backup of the settings for my TT720 this time round. But lo and behold, after the upgrade to latest maps etc, all the settings were still there. So - for the 1st time ever! - my settings were copied across.
However, I'm not going to expect this every time, and have tide a piece of cotton to my thumb to remind me to make a copy.

Thanks - when I updated the .cfg file had been deleted so I popped a copy back in.
