Adding and Deleting

Having found I can't copy my SD card to get some more room, can I safely delete and add things to the map folder like speedcams/POI's and also delete the voices I don't want/need?

Make sure you have a full backup of the card, if you only want the two UK voices you need to keep the following files in the voices folder:

data04.chk
data04.vif
data05.chk
data05.vif

All the others can go which should free up 30 to 40MB.

The built in POI files are all stored in a single file within the UK&ROI or Western_Europe map folder as applicable, the file name is POI.dat - Mike

Got it all sorted but I'm amazed at what happened!! I was copying and deleting when the card became corrupted

Thinking I had lost the lot BUT I did have a backup made previously, I had no choice but to FORMAT the card! Copied it all back and amazingly it worked! There must be something on that card which is unaffected by a format yet TomTom still knows it's the correct card. Got it all sorted now using a proper card reader rather than the dodgy one in my laptop!!
