My device is now back, and got severly tested yesterday on the wonderful road network of Southern England.

It worked flawlessly, especially with the traffic side of things, offering faster routes all the time. The traffic module I have now is the newer one, so the power has to be on before it even looks for a signal, which I think is bad. No more sticking the unit in the car 5 mins before I leave home to get a GPS and traffic signal, it just wont do it. Additionally it means that you set off, still waiting to be updated, poor in my eyes.

Since I have had the unit back, two problems. It will no longer do map corrections, downloads them, then TT locks up whilst sorting them on the device. Secondly my map update service was reported as expired, although it still had a month left. TT gave me another month, that didn't fix it, their answer - disable the TT Home plugin so then you can't tell, Doh!

Generally though the unit now functions as it did for the first 11 months of ownership.
