Navman S90i stuck at splash scrren

hi just got the Navman s90i today. plugged it in the car via the car charger and charged it up for an hour, that's how long I was driving around for.

pressed the on/off button and the unit is just sitting at the splash screen with the girl sticking out her head from the car. Also in the top left hand corner in white is this: s90i.v1.00.0020.

is it a dud?????????

also should there be a SD card with the unit?

The device does not need an SD card, that is there for extra maps.

Try fromatting the device, then relaod the software from the Navdesk
