Not withstanding my previous posting on faults with the F20 I noticed today that when I connected it to the T1 Traffic module and plugged the device into the cig.lighter I did not get the TMC icon in the bottom lefthand corner of the screen.
As this was a 2nd hand device when I bought it, with no instruction booklet, how do I get the T1 to work.

Thanks.

I assume you have put the power lead in to the T1 receiver via the special little mini USB to 3,xMM socket (I say 3,x as its a weird size that I cannot remember). If the power lead is going to the F20 then you won't get anything from the T1 as the power needs to be applied to the actual receiver.

If you have got the power in the correct place try cleaning all the contacts on the T1 and the contacts on the base of the F20 - Mike

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have the power connected into the right place, i.e. into the T!.
Will try cleaning the contacts.

What with one thing & then something else, talk about getting fed up. The annoying thing is when I bought the F20 + T1 early last year it worked perfectly. Must admit I haven't used it much though.

I don't think TMC module gets recognized instantaneously. Give it some time, then move to a different screen and come back. That shouldn't take too long though -- more than a few seconds but definitely less than a minute.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Given the device a dummy run today after all that has been advised and it seems to be working okay now. Smile
