download route from viamichelin website & synchronize

2 problems on my x960 new version 7.03 software:-

1] i've got 2 routes in my contact manager & they won't synchronize on to my gps? [speed cameras etc synchronize ok]

2] in the past when i have been able to synchronize routes, the gps only has the start & end point & not the route in between ~ the gps calculates it's own route & not the one from the viamichelin website that i want to use.

any ideas appreciated

Don't know about (1) - did you get any diagnostics/error messages? I guess you won't have changed the software in between!

On (2) I think this IS how it works (my satnav does the same). If you like a route, I think you have to add stages into it. VM will still calculate the route between stages itself, but at least you'll have the main outline of what you want. And make sure you add any place you WANT to go through as a stage too.

EDIT - I've just remembered that when I used this a couple of years back the ViaMichelin route planner would only allow 2 stopovers (=3 stages) to be specified. Presumably, it's still the same in which case you are pretty limited in fixing your route.
