Has anyone used this update yet right to their destination. I just tried this to get home and the green route line gets to the flag an then shoots off into space, spinning eratically as you turn. I changed my route slightly before getting there but the fault still remained.

It isn't a major issue but I did notice a slight slowing in the app. Hmm

I have also noted that when you set the sound to mute in the settings , it only applies for that session. The next time you use CP it reverts to sound on.
I am not sure as to the criteria for contacts lookup as some of my contacts just do not appear.
hopefully this will resolved.?

I have unticked 'Button click sounds' and that is retained between sessions OK.

Strange that. What exactly *is* this premium service?

Anyway, roll on the updates.

Yes, and worked fine here.

Strange. Seems quicker here, on a 3GS.

Hmm, the slowing occurred when I saw this shootoff line only. I'll try and get some screen shots next time I test it.

spent too long last night pratting about with speedcam installation but to no avail..

they've done the same to the android version too... it imports an .ezp file from a folder called SafetyCameras to add their own database but won't import any poi or speed cam files in the 'save' folder as before. for some reason i didn't try putting the csv files in the SafetyCameras folder... i'll try it later after database release!

Were you routing to anything unusual, or just a point on a road? Is it reproducible, and is it happening with all destinations?

Anyone know Co-Pilots support address? Perhaps if as many people as possible make the request to simplify adding custom PoIs they will listen?

For me, the 'button click sounds' setting is retained between sessions, but not the 'mute', which stops the spoken instructions.

Had another opportunity to test this again today and routed to a nearby poi and didn't reproduce this odd line but opon returning home again this shoot off returned. I have set this destination on my device as HOME and I can't see anything unusual about my address. This certainly didn't happen when I first bought it on app store. And it definatly slows my phone, I'm just glad it doesn't crash it as well.

I just updated my CP to the latest version (417) which is meant to have 'smartzoom' on it. I assumed this meant the that map would automatically zoom in when you are near a junction and slow down. Is this working for anyone or have I missed a checkbox somewhere to activate it.

Thanks

I guess you can test by adding Home as a slightly different address. Sounds like a map bug, or something related to the processing of it (which is fairly obvious!).

I don't see smartzoom on the update list, but I'm 99% sure Co-Pilot already zooms according to speed.

Seems after a few more tests I just have a buggy map address. One in a Million chance. All other addresses tested fine including house next door.
Hmmmf! Evil or Very Mad

Thanks SSR

Hi
The ezp file format is new to me. Anyone know what program will open it? It should be possible to create the pgpsw database into this format, put it in the ipa file and install (or jailbreak the iphone) and bypass the new restriction of no imported poi's that co-pilot have introduced (I guess at the reqest of Apple as they want to stop jailbreaking).

been looking at the hex code and it's not plain and simple i'm afraid..!

StuartAllen wrote:

won't work - itunes will detect that the ipa file has been fiddled with - basically some kind of checksum.

StuartAllen wrote:

that would be the only way

Hi there, slightly off topic but hope someone could help.
I've had Co-pilot since it was launched and in the latest update I noticed that under settings - show more settings, there is now the ability to playback your GPS tracks. Is there anyway of deleting these tracks or turning off the automatic recording as surely they are taking up space on my phone?

I've checked the online Co-Pilot user guide and it states that track recording is unavailable for the iPhone!?!

Many thanks
Mark
