Wiggle.co.uk currently have the national parks for £75 deliverd. Register for the newsletter first and they will email you a £5 voucher code.
You should be able to get £45-£50 back if you sell it on ebay.
Net cost 25 quid if that helps. |

are the cards easy to copy? if not then why don;t satmap do an official rental offer? eg pay full price for the map (in case you knick off with it) but on the return of the card you get a certain percent back? eg £2 per day rental fee?

Data is locked to the SD cards ID so the map can only be used on the card supplied, whilst a map card loan scheme seems a good idea at first, I am sure Satmap would rather sell new cards rather than loan them with all the associated overheads any loan scheme would create - Mike |

How about a time-limited map card ("trial period" idea)? I've just asked Satmap about it, though I dare say they won't be interested.
(They've replied to say licence restrictions prevent them from renting - not quite what I was suggesting, but clearly not enthusiastic!) _________________ David

true but like in this example, if people only need them for a week or so then satmap don't get any money at all... at £2 per day they would only need to rent out the card for 2 months before they make more money than selling one card and the punters would be happier!
just a thought anyway!
