I've contacted the author on a couple of occasions regarding the current V3.2 checkpoint.

What I think would be a useful feature is the ability to select what information is displayed in the Information Window. Currently the window only shows the name of the POI file, an alternative would be to display the text associated with each POI entry.

What this would mean is that as you approach a speed camera instead of displaying 'PocketGPS_UK_SC' the camera ID would be displayed instead ie 'GATSO:123'

What do other people think, do you have any better ideas, and how should we present this to the author?

slightly off topic, but how do you get that text to show? (im running version 2.02) (installed at the weekend and i couldnt see it)

Version 3.2 displays the POI File name, this feature was not available in v2.2.

It's a good idea regards the camera ID being displayed, would make noting innacuracies a lot easier for starters, I might mention that to the author of GPSassist who is trialling a closed beta at the moment.
