Europe map updates

I have the Nuvi 250
How do I update the maps please?

Hi Arkiboys,

To update your map,connect your nuvi to your PC via the USB cable and then log on to www.garmin.com/cms/site/uk/ Go to support and click updates and downloads from the dropdown box. You may be entitled to a free map update from Garmin's latest map offer. If you are not entitled to a free update then you can purchase one from the maps section on the main page. It is quite simple ( I managed it!) they explain everything,but be prepared as the download can take several hours, even with broadband! Good Luck, Mel.

In addition to the above post, once you have downloaded the map update, be aware that in the case of the CN Europe NT 2010.10 it takes up to 2 hours to load onto the unit.
