|
|
The last two times I have used my satmap it has turned itself off even though locked.
I put it in bag with a good signal. When I get it out later on the unit is off. There has also been freezing.
Any ideas please?
Ta,

Are you sure that you have not set the device to turn off after a certain time?
I ask because after the last upgrade I inadvertently set the device to turn off instead of just the screen. Both are set from the same settings page.
Failing that I suggest you ring Satmap. |

No, I thought that but power for the unit is always on. I'll give them a ring. |

A loose or dirty battery connection might also cause this. |

I suppose there must be a reason for unit to turn off after a certain period of
time, though I must admit I cannot think of it. This has caused me grief in the past by mistakenly setting the unit to power down after a short period of time instead of setting screen to switching off. Now you have to wait for it to lock on again. Maybe if they did not have the two settings in such close proximity it would help "numpties" like me |
