Noticed it has safety cam alerts - is that it's own database? Does it include mobile locations? Assume there is no support for the PGPSW database? |

I've been monitoring itunes navigation apps by release date and sygic europe did not appear. When I found it by searching, it shows release date of 25th Feb. Weird. _________________ Alan - iPhone 5 64GB, with CamerAlert, TomTom Europe & CoPilot |

Just looking at the app screen shots in itunes, number 4 is from my neck of the woods. I notice Newbury is spelled Newburry. I hope this is a typo in their mock up, not a refelection of the accuracy of the maps! _________________ Alan - iPhone 5 64GB, with CamerAlert, TomTom Europe & CoPilot |

I chased Sygic first thing this morning. We are also awaiting a review copy of Navigon. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

Frustratingly our review voucher arrived but iTunes is throwing an 8003 error when trying to download, grrrr.
Apple, in their infinite wisdom allow developers to dish out voucher codes to reviewers but you have to have a US iTunes Account (which we thankfully have).
So having redeemed the voucher the download appears, starts and then throws an 8003.
Have had to log a ticket with Apple, merde. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor

|

For the past 24 hours i have been monitoring the App store waiting for some user reviews of Sygic Europe version. last night i checked to see if there were any reviews and found 2 both reviews were rather P'ed off as they tried downloading the app only to get an error 8003 appear on their screen and were unable to download. I have just checked the App store again via my iPhone only to discover that the European version of Sygic has vanished from the app store. Has anyone got further info on this

We are getting the same issue and Sygic are trying very hard to get Apple to fix it. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

Apple are blaming Sygic and refunding customers the full cost for the application and suggesting they contact Sygic directly for advice, doesn't seem too well organised to me - Mike |

Sounds like Apple dropped a ball here. They replied confirming the download was pulled due to an error.
We're unlikely to know more now until Monday but Sygic couldn't have done this and they were as much in the dark as anyone late Friday. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

Does anyone know the relationship between iDA ( http://ripdev.com/ida ) and Sygic. I installed iDA europe via Cydia on my iphone ( you get a 7 day trial) . I have noticed that they seem to be the same app.
I have to say that i did purchase Navigon a few days ago and have found that it is no where near as good as iDA. |

It's the same people as far as I can see. The App can be found referenced as Sygic iDA, and has you tube videos.
That could be why Apple have pulled it. I'm sure the app store rules say app's cannot be available from other sources. |
