1. Is this with the standard built in POI icons or with a custom set that that you have added ?

2. When does the error occur, is it after clicking the new POI icon ?

Hi
Thanks for the quick reply.
The poi icons are a custom set download from Specter/Megaducks site, USA/Canada icons.

There are 8 pgs of Poi icons. That error occurs when attempting to scroll down to the next page.

This set of custom POI icons is screwed up, there are 4 bitmaps missing:
Poi347.bmp, PoiUSA85.bmp, PoiUSA237.bmp and PoiUSA536.bmp. Rolling Eyes

Also the Amigo built in icons are mixed up with the additional icons. Rolling Eyes

So I've added some additional Amigo Place Icons for the UK and for the EU and USA to the download page on the website. Smile

So here is the corrected version:

http://rapidshare.com/files/253541221/branding.gro_usa_canada.zip

This lists the built in Amigo icons first followed by the custom icons and should work perfectly. Wink

Perfect, it works, Thanks! Using your corrections as a starting point, I dug a little deeper and am beginning to understand how the pois are structured.
Now, just need to figure out why only some Pois show on the map and others don't even when all are enabled.

Thanks again

Yes it works but it's structure still isn't correct, check out the files I've just posted on the website, they include the spr files which are required to position the icons correctly on the map.

They should all show if the visibility is not "off", check that all child groups are enabled as well.

Check the website download page for various branding files.

Replace your branding file with one from the download page and then check the website screenshots page "Manage Places" to find out how to select an icon.

Your post looks like it could do with a bit of editing. Wink

Hi
Thanks for those, Your work is much appreciated.
I played with the pois some more.
Most of my selected Poi icons show on the map. But there are still some icons that refuse to show with the normal view.
They only work if I specify Satellite View, and I zoom way out.
What I noticed, at those sites, there are multiple blank balloons clustered together, possible conflict of some kind?

All the .kml pois show, no problem.

Again Thanks

The multiple blank balloons are in fact one icon, it's the multiple poi icon and it's displayed when there is more than one poi at, or very near, the same location. You can find it in the poi icon listing at the very end, usually after all of the custom icons. So it's not a conflict, usually zooming right in will show them all, but if they are in exactly the same spot then some may still not show.

These all now include both standard 32x32 and smaller 20x20 icons. The smaller icons show when the map is zoomed out and are automatically replaced by the standard icons as the map is zoomed in.

Thanks to danero2005 and m8rk for the original icon sets
