I have the Tom Tom Go 940. Like many members I have found that when the units are working well they are really good pieces of kit... However, when they go wrong , they also do it in style. My unit is currently constantly displaying the mobile phone icon in the lower R corner. Following contacting tom tom they say its sometimes happens and resolves its self Has any one else incurred this problen IE sudden loss on Bluetooth on the unit. If so , is there an idiots guide to resolving the problem. |

First off try a soft reset which won't upset any of your settings, press and hold the power on button until the device restarts.
If that doesn't cure the fault delete the phone from the TomTom and delete the TomTom from the phone then re-pair the two devices - Mike |

If you mean the bluetooth connection to your phone fails to automatically connect to the TT, then this happened to me a lot with the 740. Almost every 10 days or so it would fail. I'd usually find out when i needed to take / make a call and discovered the connection had failed.
A reset occasionally fixed it, but deleting and re-pairing works more often, but it will fail again and again.... |

This often happened with my 540 - randomly with no reason. A reset or deleting my phone and re-pairing would fix it but I found it very frustrating. Now I use the handsfree in my new Mondeo and it has not failed to connect in the 6 weeks I've had it, so bluetooth can be reliable if it is implemented properly. |
