for the past two days I have had to log in every time to use the forum, wheras usually do not have to login, cannot see any remember details anyware on page and cannot remember whether this used to be on or not, another thing that started at the same time is the loss of compatability mode although pgps web site is shown in the compatability list I still have to click the compatability every time i enter site, Anybody else having this problem, using ie8/Vista updated a couple of weeks ago but problems only started a couple of days ago.

Such issues are browser related and wholly out of our control. I'd strongly suggest you try Firefox, IE8 is the latest in a long line of garbage web browsers that stick their fingers up at web compliance.

He we go again, just had to click compatability button and login again to answer this, Although i have never had any issues before with any Version of IE, I cannot disagree that it could be a browser Issue, but am reluctant to change to something new until i can be sure its a problem, just hoped that anybody else saw the same problem i.e. a problem shared can usually be a problem solved.

I'm running fully patched Vista with IE8 on two machines and have no probs with either once I had selected compatibility mode.

IE is a distant memory for me but, retaining login status is based on cookies.

AJ have you changed any settings. Is there something in there that may be set to delete user data when closing?

Mullett I think you hit the nail on the head, I have had been having problems with adobe flash not working and I think I inadvertantly turned on delete history on exit whist trying to resolve, so will now recheck and report if ok.
