I had a mail from Tom Tom this week offering me £8.00 to spend on whatever I like with Tom Tom. Can't get much for eight quid these days.

However.....if we all pool our £8.00 we could perhaps get the salary for another programmer to augment the one guy they currently have.

Alternatively a software tester who can spot mistakes before they unleash releases on us unpaid Beta testers?

Or perhaps we could get enough to actually buy their development team? Then we could have a go at sorting something in less than 6 months or fixing some features which have been broken for what seems like eternity.

If a decent programmer/tester is IRO £50k P.A. it would only take 6250 of us. Anyone in?

And Mine! All you can get for a 520 for £8 is a pack of dashboard mount disks or if you put some money to it, a car charger and I've alrady got two of those!

OK so we've got....(drumroll)....£24.00. Keep those donations rolling in! Only £49,976.00 to go. The end is in sight.

And look on the bright side; if we only raise £400.00 at least we can add another years contract for the bloke who tested V.8.350.

Whoever it was, TT obviously didn't listen to him when he said that 8.350 'had some issues and wasn't ready for release' Rolling Eyes

Paul B
Alas, I cannot help with an answer to that question since I have no access to HD traffic. When I bought my 720 I was GOING to be able to buy an HD accessory but alas, as with many things TT, it never materialised or is delayed until a date when the car will be obsolete.

Back to the cause! We're up to £40.00 now!

How wrong you are Simon! You can buy the future! We get to choose the man for the job. Even if the heads of Tom Tom State won't let you have anything above TTN6 for your pile of PDAs we can pick a slightly dodgy guy who leaks Navcore 8 to you and you alone in return for your contribution. Do you see? We're buying control. We'll no longer wait for stuff to work. And when we get a release we'll be blown away by all the new features let alone those bugs which are so old they are written on parchment. Come on.....part with yer £8.00 ......(theoretically of course....I can't actually put all these in a biscuit tin for later as you know).
