Got an email:

Quote:
As a valued customer, we wanted you to be one of the first to know about two major offers from Mapyx:

1. The latest version of our successful digital mapping software is being released as Quo v2.1 and is packed with new features unique to Quo. It is now FREE to download and use. There's no more Quo GO and Quo PRO. From now on it's just Quo, and it's 100% free. (Download Quo v2.1 by clicking here). LINK Here

I hope that you will take us up on this offer and enjoy the latest version of Quo.

We are very excited by our new product and welcome your feedback so that we can continue to improve our products in line with customer demand.

Finally, may I thank you for your continued support and wish you enjoyment in your activities.

Not had chance to install or use it yet. in fact I've never seen it used (dispite being a valued Customer!!!!!!)

185mb download seems a bit daunting till the weekend.

Its a cracking application for the PC and PPC you can export routes that work with SatSync and the map tiles only cost 99 pence each, great for route planning on the big screen via the PC, Mapyx should have upgraded their server earlier today which should make the download a little easier - my 50MB/ Sec connection took nearly six hours for the new application download yesterday! - Mike

I'll second Mike's endorsement.

If you were an existing Quo Pro user - they are giving us discounts on maps etc. This is very nice as their mapping (esp 1:25k) is very reasonably priced!

They sent a second mail out regarding the download performance (lack of) and said that from today matters should have improved! (But we know what day it is today!)

Edited to correct spelling!

Quick reply from the Quo guys....thanks

A fresh link resulted in a download of 8mins ! (400+ kbs/sec).Installed fine this time

Link in website seems at fault. Following works though

http://download.mapyx.com/quo_files/v2/quo2_setup.exe

Is Quo V2 compatible with SatSync? it only lists Garmin & Magellan. What would the file be saved as?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum info12g Have a read through This Thread which should answer what you are asking, you still need to use SatSync to transfer the route data to the device, but it works well with the Quo package - Mike
