Hello peeps,

Have just successfully updated my 520 thru LMG to 825 and also the new 8.302 app.
All seemed ok in Demo mode but having just been for a drive there were no voices at all although the music was able to pay thru the internal speaker.
Is it just a paperclip reset that is needed..?

Duncan

I did a short trip yesterday, after updating to 8.302 and for some reason the voice directions had stopped.

I just went in and selected Kate again and it started working fine.

Just been out for a spin and everything seemed ok.....nothing too demanding, but was listening to mp3s and Bluetooth on and no stuttering or lag at all.

Just hope it stays like that.

Yes I had same after upgrade, but glad I sorted today, B4 long journey tomorrow.
I just reselected voice, but is obviously TT S/ware blip (yet another) and those who don't know about forum will be in dark!

No doubt there'll be upgrade along soon, along with DLL's for Operate My Go feature. Laughing

Hi just install news maps on my tomtom 930 and want out for the first run and no voice
Did about 4 resets still no joy
Re-download Kate from tomtom still got no voice in the end i got the voice working for
Now by reinstalling Kate from the computer using tomtom home
I am binging to think tomtom are using ex- Microsoft programmers that’s another company
That brings out program updates to improve their programs and always get wrong

Yes, but the DLL's will be for THIS version, so they will only work until we update and then we'll be back to square one again! Rolling Eyes

Hi Andy
Another thing about the new TomTom range is the size of the internal hard drive
TomTom go for the smallest drive they can get away with, and then try to fill it up with
Updates to replace the updates they got wrong in the first place
I have had about 6 tom-toms a TomTom 300, TomTom 1, TomTom 520, TomTom XL 720, TomTom 920
And the all sing TomTom 930 the one that TomTom disowned within 3 months, and removed it
From there web site, wall they were pushing the new TomTom 940
The best TomTom to come out was the 300 it was simple to use and it did what it says on the box
The rest of the new tom-toms are built within built obsolete
TomTom are moving way from good simple working product you can trust to pay monthly for all singing gizmos that they never get working right like TMC, all the new tom-toms have not improved
And got more trustworthy TomTom financers has gone up in leaps and TomTom buyers trust has gone down, and down, one has only to read the help posts Pocket GPS World forums
And do TomTom care no way TomTom seem to think it is there god give right to rip ever TomTom buyer off, if it was ant for the mumbers of Pocket GPS World forum there would be a lot of none
Working tom-toms out there, there is any way; I take my hat off to the Pocket GPS World forum numbers

Same thing happened to me after updating. Kate wasn't an option on my device - even though I saw it downloading during the update! I did have the choice of male/female German voices though! I still don't know how it came back. Just a few reboots later Kate returned. Strange fruit is TomTom.
