Guys,
My lasy map update on the 4 a year deal was mid May, I guess the new maps must be released soon. Any idea when? |

to the Forum!
You would be better starting a new thread rather than adding your question to another, unrelated, thread.
I'm not sure what you are asking. K20 wrote: |

Can you explain what you mean by "strikethrough"? If you want to format a piece of text with strikethrough then no you can do bold underlined italics but no strikethrough.
Could a Mod separate this off and move to OffTopic? _________________ Jock

No question mark equals no question.
I was directing zzr1200 in a round about way to this thread

Yes that's what I meant. Thank you for the answer.

I hardly think that's necessary. |

Hi zzr1200, yes the new maps are due out anytime now. As soon as they are, they will be announced on tomtom.com, through tomtom home, and on this website! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

My simple guess. New maps will now NOT become available until after the next new device. My (failing?) memory suggests we've had our share of new maps since the x40s were launched. My small brain suggests they are surely due to bring out a new device fairly soon now and they wouldn't want to give us newer maps than will be in the new devices. From which I make the extended guess that new devices will have to hurry to get out in order not to destroy their map updates policy/timetable!!
Of course, it could just be that they'll bring out the new maps next week and the new devices in a couple of months. They've missed the summer holiday period, maybe they'll go for the Christmas present period? _________________ Dennis

This is probably me being a bit of a cynic, but does anyone, who like me, have sucscribed to the 4 maps a year service, actually ever noticed any map changes. Other than the map version change that is
As for my experience so far no changes in my local area, and there have been quite a few changes. But this may be the normal 2 year wait for changes to filter through. _________________ iPhone4 IOS 4.3.3

Now that would be far to efficient!
I managed to buy a 2 year update card on eBay for £48 so as long as I get a couple of decent map updates out of it then I will be happy.
OT Question: If I add the code to Home does it give me 24 months from now or does it back date the start of the 24 months to the date I first used the device (which was about 84 days ago). |

Nope. Despite multiple reports of map errors, both via MapShare and direct to TomTom, I have never seen specific changes I have made a point of looking out for. |
