How do I find out if a newer map which is available to purchase from TT has been updated to include a new road layout? I remember when i bought my RA Navigator the purchase price included a free map update. Have i missed something when i bought my TT ??

Tell us which road it is, and someone with the newest map will look it up on their device.

How long have you had your TT? It comes with a Latest Map Guarantee which allows you to update your map once in the first month of ownership.

You can look on Google Maps, as they are the latest, and use the same map as what you get on the TomTom

I just looked on Google Maps for a road that's missing in TomTom. It's missing in Google Maps too. It is present in Multimap though. The difference is that Google and TomTom use Tele Atlas data. Multimap uses Navteq. How far behind Navteq are Tele Atlas normally?

In case you're interested, the road I'm looking for is called Home Farm Road (B3072) in Verwood Dorset. It's a newish road which connects a roundabout on Station Road (B3081) to a roundabout on Manor Road (B3072).

TeleAtlas are not necessarily behind Navteq - they are likely to be more accurate in different locations.

There are roads near me that have been in place at least 4.5 years and are not on tomtom's latest maps.

Well on my TTN6 with oldish maps there is a Home Farm Road in Verwood but is a small cul-de-sac off of Downlands Way - so not that one then!

On my 720 with the 815 mapping it shows Home Farm Road as a cul-de-sac off a roundabout on Manor Road (B3072). The roundabout on Station road is visible.

Have you looked on Microsoft Virtual earth, or better still here.
